Lots of Clemson history and a beautiful botanical garden all in the same place!

An important example of early 18th century Huguenot history and architecture from the Carolina Lowcountry now preserved and accessible at Clemson University in the Upcountry. All those with St.Julien and Ravenel family connections (most of SC) should see this rare gem reflecting 4 centuries of human events that continue to shape SC's future.

This structure was moved upstate to preserve an early example of balloon framing, still using mortise and tenon joints.
